Carlos Carado II is a Tax Partner of PwC Philippines since 2012. He has more than 24 years of advocacy work and professional experience advising multinationals and local businesses in various tax issues. He leads the firm’s transfer pricing practice.

He has extensive experience in providing tax advice, tax planning and corporate reorganizations, tax due diligence, and assisting in tax assessments and/or refund cases for various clients of different industries including power generation, construction and engineering, call centres and business process outsourcing, pharmaceuticals, transportation, consumer and industrial products, technology, media and entertainment, and telecommunications.

Carlos is also the Firm’s Chief Digital Officer, providing leadership over the Firm’s digital transformation and go to market strategies. As a member of PwC Philippines’ Executive Leadership Team, he helps strategize, formulate policies, and set directions for the firm’s 2,000+ professionals and staff.

He has attended various trainings both locally and abroad, and is a frequent speaker in seminars and conferences. He was a faculty member in Assumption College, Makati, where he lectured on business and tax laws.

Carlos is also the firm’s Entrepreneur and Private Clients’ champion, a role where he develops relationships with budding and seasoned business owners/executives, offering to provide them advice on various issues such as gaining more access to a wider market and funding, brand building, internal control and productivity enhancements, and market and distribution strategies, among others.

Carlos writes regularly for the Philippine BusinessWorld, with topics ranging from international taxation, Philippine taxes, transfer pricing to other business related issues. He has also published with Bloomberg, International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation, Practical Asian Tax Strategies, World Trade Executive, and Asia Today.

Carlos is both a Lawyer (Juris Doctor) and Certified Public Accountant. He also received the Superior Performance Award when he graduated from the Asian Institute of Management (Management Development Program) in 2009
