Maricel is a Senior Legal Advisor at Cabrera and Company. Prior to joining Cabrera & Company, she cultivated a comprehensive skill set across the finance accounting, human resources, and legal sectors, bringing nearly 23 years of professional experience since 2002. Throughout her career, she has held various roles across a diverse range of industries, including insurance educational institutions, global investment banking, multinational corporations, finance, international non-governmental organizations, export manufacturing, consultancy, systems integration, automotive, and law firm.
In her corporate and transactional law practice, Maricel handles mergers and acquisitions (M&A), tax litigation, tax assessments, contract management, and human rights/labor and legal due diligence. She also handles legal and regulatory advisory, policy formulation, sustainability/ESG initiatives, intellectual property registration, and other corporate matters. She also has litigation experience in administrative, labor, criminal, and civil cases.
Maricel holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a major in Financial and Management Accounting from St. Paul College of Manila and a Bachelor of Laws from Arellano University School of Law. She is also certified as a Data Protection Officer.
