Maria Leona Sanchez
Ona is a Legal Advisor at Cabrera & Company and a Senior Associate at the Office of the General Counsel. Her practice areas include data privacy, cybersecurity, criminal litigation, tax litigation, labor litigation, mergers and acquisitions, contract review and drafting, legal due diligence, and legal advisory. She is also a commissioned Notary Public in Makati City.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Management of Financial Institutions from De La Salle University - Manila in 2014. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Arellano University School of Law in 2024, passed the 2024 Philippine Bar Examination, and admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2025.
Before joining the firm, she worked for a bank and a multi-national corporation, where she collaborated closely with the legal team, appeared before trial courts as a representative, and ensured that the highest standards of credit due diligence were applied to all commercial banking accounts with credit facilities.
